A great review of the events of this book. I haven‘t read this in nearly 20 years, and it was great to get to run through the story quickly. I can‘t wait to read the play itself now, but I‘m going to wait because we might be doing it for the Shakespeare read along soon.

I don‘t know why it continually surprises me just how relevant Shakespeare continues to be, to this day, no matter where you live. There is always something.

Just now realising how much of Macbeth I don‘t really remember. I seem to remember the highlights, but not much else. I‘m glad I‘m reading this version before diving into the play itself. I need the refresher course. Then again, it‘s been nearly 20 years since I read the play.

Wow, can‘t believe I was actually reading Shakespeare 20 years ago. I don‘t feel old enough for that.

CoffeeNBooks Macbeth is my favorite Shakespeare play!! 6y
GingerAntics @CoffeeNBooks it‘s the first play I ever read. I rather like it myself. It‘s a tie between this and Hamlet, for me, I think. Which makes sense after reading a comparison between the characters Hamlet and Macbeth. 6y
readinginthedark I think we'll read Macbeth after Richard II. I've never read it for some reason! 6y

GingerAntics @readinginthedark okay then I won‘t start the actual play when I‘m done with this one. I did read in the intro material that Macbeth is one of Shakespeare‘s fastest plays. Although, looking at the scene lists within the acts it doesn‘t look like it. 6y
readinginthedark Maybe it just reads/shows fast because there's more action? You know, there's action in Hamlet, but there are also all of those monologues. Not sure how Macbeth will compare. 6y
GingerAntics @readinginthedark not sure. It has seriously been so long since I read it. I guess we‘ll have to see. 6y
