It's taking me an age to read this but I am really enjoying! Original and absorbing
Wouldn't have chosen this one, partly because the title doesn't appeal and partly because it's a photo cover - which I hate! But was recommended as first class Scandi horror and as i love all things nordic
thought i would add to my Halloween reads. Glad I did! So far is brilliantly, skin creepingly atmospheric

pickI like a bit of Scandinoir & Scandicrime but this book delved into Scandihorror (If that's even a book genre ?)
Possibly my first ever book classified as horror (Not really my thing) but strong characters & an instantly engaging story made for a good read. Twisted certainly, full of blood & gore definitely...but to make up for it the author threw in a bit of Abba ?? I'll never hear "Thank you for the music" in quite the same way again!
My March TBR! 3 books that I'm currently reading and some that I would like to get to. Who knows if I'll actually manage to make myself finish Elric - I've been reading that book since January 1st! #marchintoreading

Still making my way through this book, which I started earlier this week. #Lettherightonein is one of my favorite books. While I'm enjoying this so far, it has to be one of the more disturbing books I've ever read.
pickWow. Just wow. This is the first of his that I have read and again, wow. The language is beautiful. And the creepy factor is very real. Lindqvist is an artist. This book made me so uncomfortable frequently. But it was so worth it. I'm having a hard time typing real sentences.

137 pages in and I don't like anybody. Is it wrong to be hoping for a fictional characters death? Maybe a fiery one? 🤔. Let me clarify- I am really enjoying the book.
Having a decent idea how this is going to go for the man who found the baby in the woods, I have to say it couldn't happen to a more deserving person. And I'm only 19 pages in.
pickHoly hell. What a book! Truly horrifying and disturbing, I was hooked from the very first page, Lindqvist doesn't wait around to start throwing the sucker punches. Wouldn't recommend finish reading it whilst suffering from a hangover however😷
The only description I've ever come across, explaining why trolls, troll! I never understood the motivation before.

pickA man finds a baby out in the woods. He takes her home and she grows up hidden in the basement. I love this book and I love, love, love John Ajvide Lindqvist. This is the best book I have read by him so far ❤️ It is creepy and lovely. If you like to read horror, you have to give him a try!
