Hesiod's Theogony | 
so-soI wanted to read a primary source on Ancient Greek mythology, to get an understanding of how the Greek gods came into being. Theogony was much shorter than I expected (32 pages). Although it does tell of how Zeus overcame the Titans, there wasnt much detail. And a lot of the detail seems to be a genealogy of lesser deities.
