I guess you could say there is conflict for Francesca & her #inlaws 😉Left widowed & pregnant when her husband is killed in Vietnam, she goes to meet them. Look at the covers & you‘ll agree-No, she did NOT like his mother! Anyway, I had to pick this 1969 book. I stole my older sister‘s copy when I was maybe 9 or 10 sometime after I saw the movie that came out in 1972. (I could never quite think of John-Boy Walton the same.)😱🤣
