Assassinating Shakespeare: The True Confessions of a Bard in the Bush | Thomas Goltz
1 post
Work your way round Africa putting on one-man Shakespeare performances? It's the type of escapade that could only have sprung from the restless, feverish mind of the young Thomas Goltz, then a naive 21-year-old in 1976 looking for adventure and an errant brother. This book tells his story.
I haven‘t had the best of luck with memoirs. As great as the idea sounds, Goltz‘s adventure performing Shakespeare with tribal masks across Africa was just okay.
