This book has more impact on storyline & reveals more story than bks 1-3. Druid magick/Túath Dé magick relevant & includes Faery character from other books now. There‘s higher stakes beyond immediate characters. Seems like KMM realized the one off nature of 1-3 wasn‘t fulfilling & channeled differently.

This is my second favorite in this series because it follows Drustan's twin brother Dageus.
Dageus saved Drustan's life and misused the stones to travel back in time and save him. But it came with a price, 13 evil Druid spirits invaded Dageus tempting him to free them.
Loved the actions and the folklore around the Fae. Also the romance was plus.

pickThis was my favorite KMM Highlander book. Dageus is trying to evict the ancient Druids trapped in his body. He picked them up when he traveled through the stones to save his twin. He has reached the end of his rope when he meets his soulmate. His journey for freedom and happiness is heartwarming. #keeper #romantsy #romance
So far this book is hotter. Dageus MacKeltar is definitely the most 9-like of the Highlanders where Moning novels are concerned. No wonder he became one at the end of Burned.
