This was a sweet but sad book. There is a community of people who live at the dump, sorting through trash to sell. The story follows a teenager adjusting to this and the other things that happen along the way. Also @Avanders your #CozySwap package should have arrived Saturday 🙂

Avanders Yes, I got it! I posted yesterday... didn‘t tag you! 😳🤭 Can‘t wait!! 😘😘😘 5y

One of my best friends has a bday next weekend and she‘s looking forward to a trip to Korea later this year so I got her one of my fave Korean books in translation I know she hasn‘t read.

On the edge of glittering Seoul lies Flower Island, an enormous landfill site where teams of poor South Koreans live and pick through the waste for enough recyclable material to survive. Thirteen-year-old Bugeye and mother find their way in this new life and despite the filth and poverty and anger Hwang Sok-Yong still tells a story bursting with warmth, humour, charm that brushes against Korean mythology

I really, really liked this one and want more people to read it. It comes out Tuesday and it does look like it will be a paperback release.
