@Branwen holy smokes!! I just finished this novella and I am fuming with the need to know the whole story of the narrator Brother Zachariah, he kept referring to his past and a previous name. Like omg I need the story. Which series follows his story lol?? I am also going to halt on the rest of these becuase I was slightly lost on some worldbuilding. But omg Clare has a way with words.

Branwen Hahaha! YES! I am so so so happy that you are falling in love with this world! Isn't it wonderful?! And I totally agree, Clare really does have such a way with words! Her dialogue between characters is a particular favorite of mine! 😍 Brother Zachariah's past is centered around the Infernal Devices trilogy! It's sooooo good! 😀💕📚 5y
Sweetkokoro @branwen The fact that it took One novella to hook me is amazing. I am so mind scrambling curious. (Not gonna lie I don‘t like the killing of Werewolves cuz god do I love werewolves so much more than vampires so hopefully that doesn‘t become an issue lol) Do I have to read The Mortal Instruments before Infernal Devices? I bet I do, To set up the worldbuilding huh?!!! Come on library give me the books haha. 5y
Branwen @Sweetkokoro I think they actually do a bit of worldbuilding in the first Infernal Devices book, Clockwork Angel, so you might actually be okay to start there? But if you want the real beginning where they explain everything, I'd say you should start with reading the first three Mortal Instruments books- City of Bones, City of Ash, City of Glass first. Then jump into Clockwork Angel! 😀 5y

Branwen I'm fairly certain that's how the actual reading order is officially set up anyway, because originally The Mortal Instruments series was only supposed to be three books, not six. 5y
Branwen Oh! And that's great that you like werewolves, because there are a couple really fantastic werewolf characters in The Mortal Instruments! 😁🐺💕 5y
Sweetkokoro @branwen okay, I have those 3 books on hold right now with my library, and they are about 2 weeks wait (expect for book 3 which is 11 weeks 😭) so hopefully I can dig in quickly! 5y
Sweetkokoro @Branwen oh yes I am excited for werewolf characters!!!! I love them so much hahah. Had I know this sooner I would have ventured in a lot sooner. And that‘s good info to know about the trilogy set up! 5y
Branwen @Sweetkokoro Yes! Isn't that cool? She had planned on it only being three books (which is why the third book, City of Glass, ends so beautifully) but the fans all really wanted her to keep going, so she did! 🤣 Wow, I really hope those books come in fast for you! 🤞 I am super excited to hear what you think of them! 😀💕📚 5y
Sweetkokoro @Branwen Ah that‘s so cool that she extended the series because fans wanted more. I‘m excited to start it and feeling so impatient waiting for it haha. I now have all 6 on hold and they are such long waits lol. 5y

😂😂😂 Isabelle ends up liking Raphael quite a bit in the show though...even if he was rude lol. In her defense, she was a kid when she first meets him. #shadowhunters

Jem remains my favorite Shadowhunter; his “death” was painful for me. #books #booklover #bookaddict

Ever wonder how young Alec, Izzy and Jace met? This heartwarming story is just about that with our favourite Silent Brother- Brother Zachariah making an appearance. I honestly wished the story was longer but for TMI fans, I definitely recommend it!

Love these smaller moments that fit into big books . Jace coming to live w/ the Lightwoods. Isabelle was awesome even as a child. "Isabelle sighed. Boys were hopeless, and she had to take charge of this situation." Seeing new sides to characters : “Oh no, Brother Hop-in-the-sack-ariah,” Lily whispered. “I think we‘re going to have to fight them.” Looking forward to having a new Shadow Market Tale every month in lead up to release of Queen of Air.

Crinoline_Laphroaig Also nice surprise 'Not for Humans' was included with book. Tell how this happened: “Don‘t order any of the faerie food,” said Jace, looking at her over the top of his menu. “It tends to make humans a little crazy. One minute you‘re munching a faerie plum, the next minute you‘re running naked down Madison Avenue with antlers on your head. Not,” he added hastily, “that this has ever happened to me.” 7y
