Players may not have been my favourite Doctor Who book, but it did inspire me to start this Big Finish audio box set! I‘m on the third story now, and they‘ve all been great, but the most fun has been the first one which features Madame Vastra. Where‘s the Paternoster Gang series, BF?

rabbitprincess I second the vote for more Paternoster Gang! 7y

This wasn‘t my favourite Doctor Who book, or even my favourite Sixth Doctor one (that‘s Killing Ground, by a landslide), but it was enjoyable and captures Colin Baker‘s performance. I think more could have been done with the Players themselves, although it sounds like Terrance Dicks brought them back in two subsequent books so I guess that was by design. Of the four Who novels he‘s written (that I‘ve read) this one ranks towards the middle. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I don‘t normally go from one Doctor Who book straight into another one, but my recent rash of Sixth Doctor audios got me wanting to read a novel featuring that incarnation. This one is written by Who legend Terrance Dicks and was rereleased for the show‘s 50th anniversary. #DrWhosday

rabbitprincess I really liked this one! 7y

Such a great read! The twists and turns of the story kept me wanting to continue reading, but also made me not want to finish it and say 'good bye' to The Doctor, Peri, Winston Churchill, and Mr. Dekker. I highly recommend this book to every new and loyal 'Doctor Who' fan.

Trav As a Doctor Who fan, nothing pleases me more than seeing lots of DW posts! 8y

Trav I don't blame you! I've been wanting to get my hands on the box set for a while. It looks so pretty ❤️ 8y
Trav P.S. Hope you're enjoying them. 8y
Aims42 @Trav Yes, they look great on my bookshelf, love 'em 💙 I still have one more to read and then I will have read them all. Only 2 were 'meh' and had I not wanted to say 'I read them all' I probably would've bailed lol 8y
