so-so

I wanted to love this book more but I honestly think it was the lack of unicorns and so-so characters that had me reading this book very slowly. I‘m sure the rest of the series will pick up but the world and plot just did not capture me. #dogsoflitsy featuring Zeus who must always rest his head towards me.

Won this cute middle grade from a giveaway on Twitter! When I was a kid I was OBSESSED with Bruce Coville‘s unicorn stories and series, so I was hoping for some nostalgic fun as I dove into this...

Just finished reading it last week and it was so much more than just a story with unicorns! Essentially a portal world story, it has unique world building, interesting magical classes, and one of the most adorable sibling relationships! ❤️
