In this explosive new thriller, #1 New York Times bestselling author Lisa Jackson delves into the deep bond between two sisters and their shared dream that becomes a harrowing nightmare of madness, hatred and jealousy Cassie Kramer and her younger sister, Allie, learned the hazards of fame long ago. Together, theyd survived the horror of a crazed fan who nearly killed their mother, former Hollywood actress Jenna Hughes. Still, Cassie moved to L.A., urging Allie to follow. As a team, theyd take the town by storm. But Allie, finally free of small-town Oregon, and just that little bit more beautiful, also proved to be more talentedand driven. Where Cassie got bit parts, Allie rose to stardom. But now her body double has been shot on the set of her latest movieand Allie is missing. Police discover that the last call to Allies phone came from Cassie, though she has no recollection of making it. Instead of looking like a concerned relative, Cassie is starting to look like a suspectthe jealous sister who finally grew sick of playing a supporting role. As the tabloids go into a frenzy, Cassie ends up on a Portland psych ward. Is she just imagining the sinister figure who comes to her bedside, whispering about Alliea visitor of whom there is no record? Is someone trying to helpor drive her mad? Convinced shes the only one who can find Allie, Cassie checks herself out of the hospital. But a sudden slew of macabre murders each victim masked with a likeness of a member of Cassies familymakes Cassie fear for her safety and her sanity. The only way to end the nightmare is to find out what really happened to Allie. And with each discovery, Cassie realizes that no one can be trusted to keep her safeleast of all herself

Heart stopping! Cassie is in a mental hospital after her sister disappears from the movie set they‘re both in. Then more murders occur and someone is mentally terrorizing Cassie. The story is told from the opposing POV of Cassie and the police, with glimpses into the murderer‘s POV. Good luck in being able to pull yourself away.

Ok Friends. I'm at the hospital where hubby had surgery Friday- which has turned into a stay in the ICU, and at this point maybe in the hospital for 20 days. Picked this up in the gift shop- anyone know anything about it, looks like a series maybe, but I'm thinking of just starting it and hoping for the best?

AnnieReads Best wishes for a quick recovery for your hubby. I think you're safe to read that one even if it is part of a series. 8y
KellyKate Thank You @AnnieReads -the gift shop had very slim pickings and I'm desperate, so I'm diving in as we type! 🙂 8y
Gayan Sending good wishes to your husband in his recovery. 8y
KellyKate Thank You @Gayan!! He was diagnosed with colon cancer March 31 after a routine colonoscopy- after surgery he developed some complications so we are here for a while longer than we anticipated! Make sure you and all loved ones get their tests when the time comes- at age 51 it has saved his life!❤️💙 8y
