This book was originally published in 1995. My copy came out in 2017, fourteen years after Tom Feelings‘ death. This edition includes his original introduction, as well as two others, and an important historical note. There is plenty of reading to be done before you encounter the illustrations, which are without text. Tom Feelings explained his choice for wordless
