pickNot Ms. Brown's best book, and halfway in I was thinking this will be a three stars, but the last quarter of the book got me so invested I bumped it up to four stars. I'm not sure why it took me so long to really get into it. It just wasn't as compelling as her work usually is I guess.

This book wasn't bad, but have read better books by Sandra Brown.
The romancy stuff just isn't for me...

panI couldn't really get into this book. Seemed more like a soap opera story. A lot of drama and intensity that all seems shallow and not believable. You knew how the story was going to end the entire time, and it took way too long to get there.

1. Hard question. But when in doubt I grab Sandra Brown. Very rare in her extensive career that she has a book I do t like.

so-soA good story and good suspense. Struggled with the unbelievability of it. It came together at the end. Had 3 explicit sex scenes I could do without. F-words as well.

Sandra Brown was an absolute delight! She circled the room chatting with everyone; gave a short talk answering all the questions she gets all the time and signed our books and posed for pictures. She was utterly gracious and warm and friendly. My first book signing experience has set the bar very high!
