I enjoyed reading about the kids' adventures time-traveling to 1600, and the problems they ran into made for a good story. But the new teen character, introduced as a love interest for the main character, was incredibly annoying. The new villain started as a solid character, but then became kind of omniscient, and if the villain knows everything people are going to do and say before it actually happens, it kind of makes them less fun.
Summary: Thirteen year old Jonah Skidmore feels like an average child, complete with a smart yet slightly annoying younger sister name Katherine, parents who constantly reassured their children that they are special and well loved, and a peaceful home in Ohio‘s suburbs. Besides being adopted, life feels natural for Jonah. by then he receives a note, “YOU ARE ONE OF THE MISSING,” with six simple words, his world turns upside down and out of control
