White does an excellent job capturing Meg's feelings about living in the White House and her mom as president. The binge continues.

5 out of 5 stars (spoiler alert: I give all 4 books in this series 5 stars-I love it that much). The 2nd book in a series about a girl whose mother is the US president. Meg deals with an assassination attempt on a family member, and the pressures of being a teen in a difficult & high profile position. Witty, verbose characters w/snappy & sometimes sarcastic dialogue. Expertly updated to current times by the author (I grew up reading 80s editions).

LeahBergen I'm assuming that this cover was intended to look like Vermeer's painting? Cool. 9y
GlitteryOtters @LeahBergen yes, all the books in this edition of the series were done to lookalike famous paintings. Up next we have Whistler's Mother, then the Mona Lisa. First book was Wyeth's Christina's World. 😂 9y
LeahBergen That's pretty amazing! 😂 9y

As I took the long weekend off of Litsy, I am a bit behind on my #somethingforsept posts, so pardon me today while I post my belated makeup posts. Here is day 23: #readingoutside with White House Autumn.
