Midnight's Lair: (Richard Laymon Horror Classic) | Richard Laymon

'If you've missed Laymon, you've missed a treat' Stephen King Mordocks's cave is one of the wonders of the world: a place where, every year, thousands of sightseers go deep beneath the earth's surface to marvel at Nature's handiwork. But it's also home to things Nature never intended - violent, evil things. And when a power failure traps a group of tourists underground, the creatures emerge from the darkness...

A crazy plot about a bunch of Nutjob cannibals living in a cave? Why not!

I liked this and it was not what I was expecting at all. It just got weirder and more shocking as I went 😂 we went from stuck in a cave, to dead bodies, to pure ass cannibalism 😂

It was a good one, the writing kept me interested and I enjoyed the storyline, could have done without the weird blossoming romance amongst the dining over body parts though!

This lands in the same place I find most Layman books: enjoyable but slightly cringey. I like his stuff for a quick, pulpy read but wouldn't recommend him to everyone. This one had some really good creep factor.

Quiet Sundays are the best. Nothing better than sleepy cats and a fun horror read to enjoy.

I tried to go for a walk and got stuck in the rain. Now on enjoying it from my deck and starting a new read. I'm in the mood for a quick horror read and am hoping this hits the spot. Also there are five or six adorable tree frogs hanging out with me. One is literally hanging on the ceiling above me, so here's hoping he doesn't fall...

MaleficentBookDragon I love 🐸🐸🐸. Did you get any pics? 6y
annkuch13 @MaleficentBookDragon Unfortunately not. ☹ It was too dark to get a good picture. 6y
