#HelloThursday @wanderinglynn
1. I‘m going to list several faves - A Swiftly Tilting Planet, Watership Down, and The Dark Is Rising
2. Hahah reading! Always.
3. Anything that didn‘t involve reading, but probably the dishes.
4. All of my books aside, I had a little pegasus whom I called “Gaudior” (See 1a).
5. One of my faves, anyway.
I‘m realizing I‘m a bit of a Woodson fan girl. Her writing is just so beautiful, observant, and sensitive. I can imagine some readers might criticize this story for the sexual orientation confusion of one of the characters, but IMHO, I don‘t believe it‘s warranted. They are adolescent girls discovering themselves, which we know isn‘t always clear or easy.
This is my third Jacqueline Woodson novel.
"And freedom? Oh freedom. Well that's just some people talking. Your prison is walking through this world all alone."
