Hey, Kids! War Stories! Yay!
Read a lot of comics history. Although I‘m addicted they mostly end up being dry. This one was a blast though. Never been a DC fan but now I know a bit more about the ethos of the company, I feel a bit sorry for them. 🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇 8/10 Batmans
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I‘m fascinated by the development and progression of the comic book industry, especially this rivalry. I can‘t say there‘s a lot of new information here, but Tucker‘s wit and knowledge makes for a very entertaining read! It‘s a good companion to Marvel Comics: The Untold Story (tagged ⬇️).
🎧🧩 It‘s finished! This was a bit trickier than I thought it was going to be, but very satisfying. 😆Galison Puzzles has some really cool designs. Definitely framing this one.

▶️🎧 Two more weeks of pseudo homeschool. Each morning I review both boys‘ teacher-provided instruction and gather supplies ... with lots of coffee and an audiobook. Gotta keep my sanity! Enjoying this listen so far. 🗯
Hope everyone is hanging in there!
Husband and I did a marathon listen of this. We just started listening and couldn't stop. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Maybe I‘m not being fair, but within the first few pages the author starts talking about The Dark Knight Returns and how great and “adult” it was. Those that gush about Frank Miller tend to like different things than I do. Even as a child I didn‘t find The Dark Knight Returns “adult”. It seemed like an absurd, juvenile idea of masculinity. So I don‘t feel like finishing this book.
I‘m actually not a big comic book reader but I thought this book was so much fun. It also gave me some history to consider next time I watch the next big superhero movie. #netgalley
This was a fascinating and entertaining read about the long rivalry between Marvel and DC Comics. It was cool to read about the development of the comic book industry and how those characters have now become pop culture icons who generate billions in film revenue for studios. Would definitely recommend this for superhero fans.
My friend bought this for her boyfriend for his birthday.... I had to take a quick pic before she wrapped it so I could remember to read it. He worked for DC comics and this is definitely in his realm of obsessions. Can‘t wait to pick his brain once he opens this bad boy up!
