THIS book. I loved it 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The writing was beautiful.
Its not a typical book i would read but i am so glad i did. It has all the emotions in one. Highly recommend
So I'm in part 2 and I am so emotional. Not sure how to feel about Jacob and his impact on Gloria's life. #Summersendreadathon
Just finished part one. I am in complete shock. My emotions are all over the place. I have some many questions and things just can not be what they are. All I can say is this book will definitely take you on an emotional roller coaster. #Summersendreadathon
About to start chapter 14. Part one has been intriguing so far. I am ready to reach the climax of the story #Summersendreadathon
"It's no good being alive if you don't get to live." This quote spoke to me on so many levels. There have been so many times in my life that I have just been doing the day to day routine. But when you actually get to live life for the moment and make those special memories, life is so much more. Memories are worth more than just living. #Summersendreadathon
"I've been taking care of myself." This quote spoke to me so much. After my husband died in 2016, my own sorrows caused me to retract to my one internal isolation. Not realizing the impact it had on my 17 year old son at the time. Now I have so many regrets because I know he felt like the character in this book. Alone and forgotten as I dealt with my own sorrows. #Summersendreadathon
So far I have only gotten to chapter 6. It is very good and has grabbed my attention. Saldy life happens and my 20 month old demands my attention more than my book. Lol #Summersendreadathon
"The Institute was far worse than a broken heart." #Summersendreadathon
Starting this now. For the #summersendreadathon
September book club read.
Anyone read this?
Today dropped my husband off at an appointment in area of our city that we normally don't go.
Found a locally owned bookstore and decided explore.
Forgot to unmute my phone, got distracted by all the books, forgot about husband by time remembered him had 6 texts and 5 calls 40 minutes to come get him.
Took a chance based on "for lovers of" and ??? it was a book on my TBR list.
So I had a great outing.. Hubs is annoyed but he'll recover.
I basically devoured this novel, centered around a young girl who gets sent to a gay conversion camp in the '60s. The characters all lifted off the page, and I felt truly invested in the action of the plot. The best part for me was the magical realism element of a hive of bees that follows the main character throughout her life. This had just the right blend of whimsy, magic, and realism. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #NetGalley
1. I‘m obsessed with orchids. 2. Green beans. 3. I have 6 plants, five are orchids. I used to have a lovely garden in MD and I miss it. 4. Tagged book. Beehive is kind of related, right? #gardenparty @REPollock
