Amazing! What a funny MF book that is sure to bring laughter to your classroom. Journey with Ike La Rue as he writes down his excursions in obedience school which can be considered quite dramatic.

#MarchIntoThe70s Day 29: The story begins with our modern dog-hero, ‘Ike‘ La Rue being enrolled in the Igor Brotweiler Canine Academy due to a “long list of behavioral problems” which includes food pilfering, chasing the cats of the neighbor. Clearly, Ike cannot wait until #SchoolsOut. My review of this epistolary picturebook here: https://wp.me/pDlzr-FD
This F story is a comical read and would be great for PR. It tells the story of a pup named Ike who is upset at his owner for sending him to obedience school. During the reading, partners could examine Ike‘s feelings and discuss how they would feel in his position, which goes hand-in-hand with UDL 9.3. Additionally, partners could use ESOL 9 to take notes on the sequences of events in the book as they read.
This cute F book would be great for SR. The book is about a dog who writes to his owner from obedience school begging to come back home because he is a good dog not a bad dog! This book would be great to teach students how to write letters. UDL 7.2 Optimize relevance, value, and authenticity. ESOL 15 reinforce the key ideas you present again and again. #UCFLAE3414F17
For my EL students, we need to make sure to give them enough time to respond on whether or not these letters match his experiences (22).

An awesome resource is a discussion guide provided by scholastic, so we can make sure we are creating proper questions for our RA. https://www.scholastic.com/teachers/lesson-plans/teaching-content/dear-mrs-larue...
