I have always loved this book, because the plot is very direct and simple, but conveys an important message about team work. The theme conveyed is how teamwork works and simplifies consequences for not participating teamwork.

I would absolutely use this in my classroom, because it is a cute and short book that is packed with meaning and can be openly discussed in a classroom.

“No!“ said the little red hen. “I will.“ And the little red hen ate the bread all by herself.

This traditional book is a great book about the process of making wheat into bread. None of her friends would help, until it was time to eat the bread. She then said, “no i will eat it myself“ because no one wanted to help make it.

I would use this book as a group reader. I would have the students take turns reading this in groups. It is a great beginning reader book.

The little red hen by Diane Muldrow illustrated by JP Miller is a TL picture book. The little red hen asks for help in every step of making bread like sewing the grain of wheat but no one helps. When it came time to eat the bread that‘s when they want to eat but the hen ate it all by herself. I think this would be good for CR El-18 Use commands and directions that involve overt student actions as in
