The Tournament of Books longlist was announced yesterday and I found I had already tried 30 of the books on the list. Here are my top recommended reads so far if you are looking for a place to start.

This book felt a bit clunky at times and definitely all over the place. It is in different tenses, jumps around. It does come together at the end, but it feels like it took forever to get there.
Excited to start this one. This one explores a friendship between an Israeli and two Palestinian twins. I have excellent things on this one.
This was a really gorgeous book with great narration. A young man leaves America to return to Israel for his military service. Before enlisting, he meets Palestinian brother/sister twins and develops a deep friendship with them both. As he learns their family history, he starts to feel conflicted about his upcoming military service. The narrative starts with him in a military jail, then flashes back to the time leading up to his arrest. See 👇🏻
Congrats to the super smiley @readinginthedark on her HUGE Litsy milestone 💕Thanks for #payingitforward with your awesome #TBRfortheWin #giveaway 🙌🏻I‘m feeling 🍀and would LOVE either of these beauties 🤗🤗🤗
OY if you‘re looking for a PASSIONATE writer, look no further than Moriel Rothman-Zecher. He‘s an Israeli-American whose writing is loosely inspired by his own life (he grew up between Israel & Ohio) and he is so excited to share this stunning new novel with you all!
It was an especially great discussion shared with the thoughtful Madeleine Thien, author of Do Not Say We Have Nothing. Whew! 😍
Oh what a great couple weeks it‘s been for #BookMail !!!
