Wow... just wow... This was such a heartbreaking story. Bliss gives you insight into the lives of two best friends, both from broken, unloving homes, and how just a few wrong choices led to a completely unhappy ending. I cycled through so many emotions reading this book, and despite how it ended, I really enjoyed the book.

10 stars! Both hands up for this impactful book. I can‘t wait to discuss this tomorrow in my student book club.

A great reading month for me with some really good books.

Do not read this book looking for a happy ending. Having started and finished this read today, I am now a complete emotional wreck.

Bliss takes the reader into a world of two best friends whose lives are crap and they are both just clinging to each other to try and get by each day. One eventful night changes everything though for these boys and the author reminds us that some choices in life can never be undone.

Great book, but a tough one.

Well, that was unexpected. This was so sad and depressing. I was angry with most of the characters, upset for others. I struggled to finish because I was bored in the beginning, not understanding the direction of the story. After about 100 pages, the pace picked up. An interesting, emotional, thoughtful read.

This is such an odd book. And that‘s not necessarily a good thing. I‘m about halfway through and I‘m still not sure what I think of it.

I was hoping this would be phenomenal! Unfortunately, it was just so-so. The premise is good and the setting in North Carolina was appealing, I just had a hard time following the plot as it seemed to ping pong back and forth between present and past.

Got super annoyed/angry at the one character but other than that it was pretty good.

Took a walk for lunch away from #bea18 and started this book. And the opening seems like a great start.

😢 Heart wrenching.

I‘m enjoying this as much or more than expected. The parts written as letters are the parts I enjoy the most. I‘m a little more than half way, Luke and Toby are making life-altering choices, and it‘s getting harder and harder to stop reading for things like .... sleep! But, I do require sleep 😴
