Pretty Little Mistakes
Pretty Little Mistakes | Heather McElhatton
5 posts | 16 read | 50 to read
There are hundreds of lives sown inside Pretty Little Mistakes, Heather McElhatton's singularly spectacular, breathtakingly unique novel that has more than 150 possible endings. You may end up in an opulent mansion or homeless down by the river; happily married with your own corporation or alone and pecked to death by ducks in London; a Zen master in Japan or morbidly obese in a trailer park. Is it destiny or decision that controls our fate? You can't change your past and start over from scratch in real lifebut in Pretty Little Mistakes, you can! But be warned, choose wisely.

Really??? 150 endings, & I wind up with ... killed by Aussie drug dealers? Watching the love of my life blown up by terrorists? Working as a clown? Hit by a Mack truck yet charged with the manslaughter of the driver???
I get the point - no life is without complications & compromises. But I remember Choose Your Own Adventures being a LOT more fun than this one 😕. Not sure I want to try more paths - doesn‘t seem I could make a good choice🤷🏻‍♀️

Definitely geared toward a younger demographic, but a fun concept "Do Over Novel". It takes about 10 min to read through each time you guide your own story. 1st read: A pressure cooker of soup exploded and I died from burns. 2nd read: I owned a butterfly conservation area in Jamaica and died at age 102 (after choking on mango). Would be a good read in a waiting room. Would really like to see a book like this geared toward my age (52)...2/5?

Reagan There is another one where you win the lottery, I like to take them down once in a while and do a round. 7y
Wife @Reagan-reads That sounds like a better fit for me. These books can be entertaining. 7y
Reagan Can be fun, but I get what you're saying, I am older than the target market 😂 7y

#Shelfie #part1 I just organized this one, my husband is planning on building shelves all the way down this wall in our living room. These are all books that have been read and favourites we can't get rid of. #aprilbookshowers

This book made me develop a meth habit, drop out of my master's program, steal my husband's money, divorce my husband, get caught for stealing my husband's money, eventually die in prison, and there was nothing I could do about it.

ABookishHart I've read this before, such a fun read! 8y

An adult choose your own adventure! It all starts when you graduate from high school...from there it's turn to page 4 if you go to college or page 5 if you travel. Boom 150 different endings! You could live in a mansion or die homeless on the street. Read it! Do it!

Megabooks Those always upset me as a kid because I couldn't always do every way before it was due at the library. #firstworldkidproblems 8y
Texreader @Ebooksandcooks I remember feeling the same way! 8y
QuoteQueen I have never read a book like that. Very intriguing! 8y
