Save a Truck, Ride a Redneck
Save a Truck, Ride a Redneck | Molly Harper
9 posts | 15 read | 4 to read
Molly Harper brings her signature clever humor, snark, silliness, and endearing protagonists (Booklist) to the charming small town of Lake Sackett, Georgia with the new Southern Eclectic series. Carl and Marianne were high school sweethearts, loving the way only teenagers canwith no thought to logic or pride, just a bone-headed, optimistic frenzy of unicorns and hormones. That was all they needed. Or so Carl thought. Scared of being stuck in Lake Sackett, Georgia, like so many of her friendswithout a real shot at a future or achieving her own dreamsMarianne panicked and bolted to college after stomping Carls heart into the high grass. But when she returns to Lake Sackett for the summer with her family after years away, she and Carl are drawn together like moths to a flame. As they rekindle their old romance and remember what it was like to be in love, they have to wonder: is this, finally, their real chance at happiness? Perfect for fans of Kristan Higgins and Amy E. Reichert, this warmhearted and witty love story introduces Molly Harpers new Southern Eclectic series set in the small town of Lake Sackett, Georgia. This story about second chances proves that Molly Harper never lets the reader down with her delightfully entertaining stories. Humor, emotions, and romance are cleverly matched, and her likable characters are most appealing (SingleTitles).

Just chillin before bed and I always enjoy #thisorthat
The “nope” is the best choice, though I do occasionally read SciFi and Fantasy, but they are never my go to, I really gotta be in the mood.

1. In, on, or out of my bed.
2. I use my memory. Ta-da!
3. Only where the tension ebbs.
4. That would be a no.
5. I usually just tune out the world.
6. I'm a monogamist.
7. I'm never without a(n) (e)book at hand.
8. Silently, unless I'm chanting prayers or spells.
9. 👀
10. How do you read books w/o breaking in the spine? It's like wearing shoes w/o putting them on your feet.
11. Had to in lit classes 😢

hyacinth This was fun to read. Ty for the tag 😀🤗 7y
Lupa08 BTW, I've been remiss. I was tagged by @RaimeyGallant but since I once again overshot the character limit, I couldn't tag her in the main body. And I don't know why I didn't think of adding a line in the comments' *sheepish grin* 7y

Okay, so I‘m giving Audible‘s Romance Package a try, and I kicked off with this prequel novella to Sweet Tea and Sympathy. I really enjoyed this one! It gave you a deeper look into the lives of Margo‘s family and we got more Marianne! And Tootie, and her pack of dogs! Lol! I hope to see more of Donna and Bert in the next Southern Eclectic novel! Also, I think I may really love this Audible package! Definitely seems like it‘s worth the money!

Reecaspieces Tootie is my favorite. I loved this one..but sweet tea and sympathy is my favorite. (edited) 7y
the.bookish.valkyrie @Reecaspieces Agreed! On all points! 7y

Loving this #audiobook- Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi make a great team! But here's my #bookpetpeeve: The main character is described as having chestnut hair, while the cover model has blonde hair. Any #CoversDontMatch that drives you crazy? Use the hashtag to let me know!

Reecaspieces I can‘t think of any off hand. Not really something I pay attention too...but I see where it would drive people crazy. I agree that this one is a good read....I love her characters 7y

Sweet second chance romance. The rekindled relationship was a bit rushed, but it's a novella so...My first time reading Molly Harper and I'm interested to try one of her full length novels now. Quirky characters, and I laughed a few times.
