While this promised to be fun, at almost 100 pages nothing exciting had happened and I was starting to hate the main character. So, not for me! This was my #doublespin this month

1️⃣ It's complicated. Let's say Québec.
2️⃣ Excluding academics, Kari Maaren. They are also a very very nice person.
3️⃣ I have no idea.
4️⃣ My end of the couch.

3. Yes, turn it on and off sporadically right now
4. Yes, since 6th grade. Short bout with contacts for a couple of years but went back to glasses.
5. Tagged book, I think I read it this year...it was rough.

New audiobook!
Hope this one is better than the last one I listened too.
Freddy is stuck thousands of years in the past with her very, very weird neighbors. And that‘s only the beginning… We‘re so pleased to welcome the fantastic Kari Maaren, author of Weave a Circle Round, to our #emwf18 author lineup! bit.ly/2MlFmeR #canlit #timetravel #YAlit #YAfantasy
I am putting this book as So-So not because I didnt enjoy the story or the writing, but because it may not be for everyone. It was pretty predictable in most parts, for me anyways, so the ending wasnt very surprising. But it is a fun timetravel- who doesn't like timetravel stories- and fantasy book.
To be honest, I kind of thought this book was a mess. The time travel was way too abrupt and confusing. I struggled to finish this because I wanted to see how it ended, and once I'd finished, I wished I'd just given up. For me, it wasn't worth it, but someone else may enjoy it.
1. Critical Hit - No More Kings
2. At this point, a "so-so" or a 2.5-3 ?, dangerously close to a bail
3. I'm not sure. Maybe Wise Man's Fear? It's pretty long, and this is a reread for me. There may have been longer.
4. Tag, you're it.

Getting ready to start this one! I think the cover is beautiful. Of course I've got a couple of my reading buddies close. This is Violet's beautiful ginger face (she's a calico tabby).

Very imaginative. Loved learning the origins of Cuerva and Josiah. Freddy was a very relatable teen and this was a charming fantasy both young and old can enjoy.
Weave a Circle Round is the best YA fantasy I've read in ages. I was hooked within a chapter or two, and couldn't put it down. The characters were interesting, the mystery intriguing and there was a real Wrinkle in Time feel to the story. Definitely recommend, definitely will reread. 5/5 #fantasy #YA
This book is about time travel. If time travel was real, I would want to travel back to before I read this book. What the heck was that? It was ok, almost good, until the actual time travel and then it lost me. It had it's good parts but overall was pointless.
Freddy wants to not be noticed. She doesn't want to be different, her brother Roland gets attention because he's deaf, and her sister Mel thinks she's a private detective.
Then Cuerva Lachance and Josiah move in next door, and the house exhibits some strange tendencies, like not obeying the laws of physics or reality. Just as Freddy thinks she's had enough of Josiah, she's plunged into adventure and discovers the truth about the new neighbors.
