I love silly kid books - when I did storytimes back in the day, I loved getting the kids involved with the stories & talking about what was real and fake. In this case, obviously “moose” does not start with “Z”. Yet, Moose is rather persistent in having his 15-minutes of fame.

A few of the letters are obscured in the shenanigans, which provides a good lesson on the alphabet. I love the shifty-eyed Zebra on the cover! #BBRC #PictureBook #LetterZ

Last #BBRC #A2Z for today. Moose is very excited to be in Zebra‘s alphabet book. So excited he starts showing up on the D page... Fun to read, just as soon as your littles have enough of a handle on the alphabet to put Moose right.

#MarchIntoThe70s Day 4: Moose says I #WontGetFooledAgain after every page depicting a letter that does not begin with M! This is a classic example of a very skillful interweaving of text & image – where the imagery serves to provide a different narrative that runs parallel to the exasperated words of Zebra & the deceptively-simple-ABC text. This book is an alphabet book where moose try‘s to discover what the word moose starts with. The illustrated did a good job with the picture of the animals in this book too!

“M is for mouse”

This book is funny because the moose wants his turn on a page and keeps interrupting.

This would be a great book to take to the CDC because it‘s about the alphabet and has a word with every letter.

“Now?”
“Mommy, who is that?”

The illustrations are very colorful and vibrant.

It‘s an ABC book with some humor to it, the moose is comical butting into things he‘s not supposed to which i think the kids will like, also how the zebra ends up in places he‘s not supposed to be. The pages where the mode is color over things I can tell how the illustrator used color to emphasize what the moose was writing.
