Book 3 of #NewYearWhoDis @Lauren.Archer
Didn‘t connect with this one. Maybe because I‘ve never worked in an office? This was the only book on the list that wasn‘t on my radar already.

Recommending today: fun dysfunctional workplace novel.

loved that this novel took place in a workplace and explored the relationships between the colleagues...although a bit too close to home at times. 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
...on the move like an undercover agent... he turned out to be a colossally inept secret agent.
It's been in my library pile for ages: really good so far. Multi-voice in an HR office, from the 'wizard' director to the guy who's looking for another job... Captures that what you think is going on, is only ever a partial view.
Stressful, considering mi husband is currently working in a corporate office that has had a lot of layoffs in the last year 😳
This book felt a bit long, but I did enjoy it, I kept having flashes of up in the air while reading it! A great look at the inner workings of an office and office politics! Definitely worth a read!!!
So glad I was out and about and busy today, as it didn‘t give me time to miss litsy! So glad it‘s back up and running!!
I‘m reading this one right now and enjoying it!! Oh office politics!!!
My plans of hibernating and reading all day have been thwarted! A coworker had a shift today but is overwhelmed by all her school assignments so I took her shift so she won‘t be as stressed!! At least I get to be around books all day!!
That‘s how it all starts!!!
Well I‘ve been reading a little bit before I have to trudge off to work today! I think I‘ll dedicate my day off tomorrow to reading! I need to stop starting new books and just finish one already!!!
Loved THIS COULD HURT. Funny and smart and sexy and a little bit sad, all set in corporate headquarters. Reminded me of when I worked in HR, how all of our lives became interwined.
This was the perfect book to get me out of my slump. Coming from the HR world this felt real and uncomfortable at times. I absolutely loved each character and wanted to see how their story progressed. Bonus..loved the epilogue.
So I just bailed after 50 pages on two books. Hopefully this will go a little better.
This is the first novel about corporate America that I have ever read and can honestly say is a feel good book with a lot of heart. Lots of compassion and redemption for all of the characters. Worth reading just for the positive attitude.
Just saw this review from the NY Post. As an employment lawyer I thought this one sounds good! On my tbr list now.
I have been super busy this week. Today, however, I'm enjoying lying on the couch with this book. So good.
Authors and Booksellers reception at the offices of @HarperCollins this week! Had the pleasure of meeting Jillian Medoff. Her forthcoming novel, THIS COULD HURT, drops in January.
