Mehso-so

I loved the fluid writing, immersive style and sense of place, but this lacked tension for me & didn‘t hold my interest. Gafitas & Zarco feel real & the scenes of street life with dissolute teens hanging out in bars beautifully capture the mix of action, trouble & idleness of marginalised youth. Told as a memoir looking back, it‘s organic & layered but lacked suspense. I was distracted by other things & didn‘t have the patience to finish it.
