Needed an excuse to show off my new babies, and @ulyssesartmiller had mentioned wanting to read up on owning chickens in the future. Both of these books I reference back to more frequently than the others I own, but more-so the Storey‘s Guide one. Chick Days has good info, but it‘s more like a coffee table book than a ref. Its color photos are gorgeous though, compared to the b&w in the Guide. Still have two more batches of chicks on the way! 😍

I updated my profile picture from goats in my face to this sweet chicken who kept following me around because she wanted to eat chocolate sprinkles. Fortunately for her, my wallet happened to be stuffed with cracked corn (I work with goats, don't ask).
