I found Rickety Stitch and the Gelatinous Goo earlier this year. It's a fun, adventure fantasy about finding out who you are. It may look a little like it's aimed at kids, but it is young adult. With the themes and subject matter, middle school is fine I think.

Filed under YA graphic novels in my school library but I checked it out for my 10 yr old. I didn't read it until after he did and there were a few parts that were not age appropriate, but honestly I prefer to have him read. Interwoven with the dialogue are the lyrics to an original ballad. Turns out you can listen to it online! I found it and he sang along with the lyrics. 😍❤️😍

Loved this young adult fantasy adventure graphic novel about a singing, and lute-playing, skeleton with a soul trying to find out who he is and who he was. At first glance the cover art looks to be for kids, but the story is for teens. Beautiful colors, fun adventure, with depth to the story. Full review at acrossthelibrary.com

This was a funny adventure/fantasy story graphic novel that left me wanting a sequel, like, yesterday.
