This was the last book I read in 2017.

I must ask a question. Is the term “chick lit” offensive? If so, I‘d be glad to try to think of another to describe it.

This is not my usual genre, but I did enjoy this book. It has an engaging plot and a lot of emotion.

I still don‘t think this genre is for me, but I had fun reading this.

Fernoppy Chick lit shouldn't be offensive - there is some brilliant writers working that genre, telling wonderful stories. It's only used as a pejorative because of the way our society devalues women's stories - our emotions and relationships and the minutiae of our daily lives. So use chick lit with pride, I say! 😊 7y
Alfoster @Fernoppy Well said! Ditto that😍! 7y
Libby1 @Fernoppy and @Alfoster - great to know! I know some people seem to use the term in a negative way I think your assessment is absolutely right. Because it‘s not what I usually read I wanted to make sure I wasn‘t saying anything offensive! ☺️ 7y

50 ~ This Love by Dani Atkins (Kindle edition📱) ~ Started: 11.05.17 ~ Finished: 18.05.17
Rating: 4/5📚

I enjoyed 'This Love', it's one of these books that make you look at the bigger picture. I liked Sophie & Ben, they were great characters to read. I loved Ben's outlook on life & how he helps Sophie. Sophie changes as the story progresses, which made me like Sophie even more.

'This Love' is a feel good read.

Recommended.
