Monday evening reads.
Rat Queens is easily one of the best and funniest comics that I have read in years! The description on Hoopla said that its like Buffy meets Tank Girl in a Lord of the Rings world on crack. It is a bloody, hilarious adventure with some really great characters. Hanna, Dee, and Violet are great, but Betty just might be my new favorite character in anything ever!
Today's #bookmail. Got the fancy hardcover deluxe Rat Queens. Because having the issues on my Kindle was just not enough. I can't wait for the soft reboot in March. 🐁👸⚔️🔮
I know I'm late to the game, but finally got around to reading this. I really don't know what took me so long. Loved it! I love every single one of these badass women. On to volume three! #sassandsorcery
#AugustPhotoChallenge's theme for Day 4 is #BookishSquads. My bookish squad would easily be the Rat Queens. They go on quests, fight monsters, don't take nonsense from the patriarchy, and they're SASSY. I may as well already be Hannah, so it would be a perfect fit. 👊🏼⚔💀🔮✨ #WNDB #WeNeedDiverseBooks
Every year, there are books I don't review in my usual long-format style, so in the interest of completeness I do these "grab bag"-style blog entries so I can talk about them :). The mid-year entry (which includes Rat Queens) can be found here: http://wp.me/p21txV-k2
