Overall Rating 4¾⭐ | Narration 😁 = Very Good
For me, The Memory Watcher was something different in a sea of books that can feel like the same story that‘s been chewed up and spit out over and over again. It surprised me more than once...and even made me laugh out loud a time or two. Autumn was oddly likable in a messed-up sort of way. ⬇ ⬇ ⬇
A few months ago, I read and greatly enjoyed Kent‘s most recent book, so I was excited to catch up on her back catalogue through #KindleUnlimited! Unfortunately, despite the definitely unexpected turns of this rather crazy plot, I didn‘t like either narrator which made this not quite as fun to read as I had hoped! But it‘s fast-paced and I can see how this would be a good discussion starter of a novel!
4.5 stars
I loved it! Half a star short from a 5 star and that‘s because I was left with a few questions. This could be a personal thing. But overall this book was addictive. I highly recommend it. I finished this book yesterday and I find myself thinking a lot about the characters. I‘m excited to read more books by this author.
I thought this was a really interesting psychological thriller type book. It had an interesting twist in the end which I didn‘t see coming and the characters were super interesting. I felt like the ending was a little bit rushed and I wish that the author developed certain parts of the story more, but I definitely enjoyed this one!
Hello Tuesday! Today = Caffeine + Sugar ( much needed). Snowy day in IL. I will be curled up with this book today!
One bad thing about reading thrillers: I‘m always looking for the next “Gone Girl”—that is, a book that shocks me with a twist in a new and exciting way—and so often I‘m usually left feeling disappointed. Thrillers are so formulaic these days. This one? Pretty freaking good twist, actually. It starts as a slow burn but the action really picks up late. Reminds me a lot of one of my other faves, The Silent Wife, by ASA Harrison. (Continued below)...
