In this short roman dur/psychological thriller, adultery leads to crime and terrible consequences. Simenon‘s writing is both nuanced and descriptive as the story becomes increasingly intense.

This has been one riveting tale. I was completely absorbed from beginning to end. There is lots of diologue & I felt at times I was watching a play. Definitely a feeling of being once removed. Colour plays an interesting part. Blue Room. Red swimsuit. Silky grey hair. Sky/Blue pullover.
Tony says : in the Blue Room nothing was real “ this stayed with me.

Brilliant writing. Reminded me at times of Herman Koch. I would highly recommend. ⭐️

It's so strange reading this book , because I was In Liege a long time ago ( the author was born in Liege ) & I was on a romantic adventure. This makes me smile. Better wait & see what happens. Only just beginning this. 💜pic a piece of a collage my son did
