I'm taking an upper division class on British Literature, and we learned about W.B. Yeats and his obsession with an actress and activist named Maud Gonne, who did not reciprocate. It lasted for YEARS. So later, he proposed to her daughter. Because that makes sense. (The daughter also did not accept.) And I did not share my observation that basically, Jacob Black did the same thing in the Twilight series.
