Here is my very messy spread for #bookspin in December. I was so very close to a bingo, but I didn't quite make it. Finished 10 books. 💪

Snagged this yesterday when I was at the library grabbing a book my daughter had on hold. I really liked the illustrations; however, the story itself was just alright. Don‘t get me wrong, it was cute in some ways. But it didn‘t really make a lot of sense.
This was an interesting premise, of a boy born without a shadow who falls in love with a ghost. His shadow appears to haunt him, so to speak. I never really felt connected with the characters though. My favorite character was the best friend, but she was in less than half of the scenes. Loneliness and family connections were strong themes, so I think many people will relate to this graphic novel. GUYS!!!! I cannot say how much I loved this book! The plot is unique and interesting, and the artwork is really nice as well! 5/5 I'll recommend this to fans of Gravity Falls and anyone who enjoys paranormal weirdness. Basically, Greg has been dealing with a bunch of stuff he lost his mom, and people see him as a freak because he was born without a shadow. His shadow comes back to wreak havoc on the town.
