This is a reread. I used to love this series and I‘ve been meaning to get back to it for a while now.
1. Reading, exercising, writing, organizing some of the clutter around the house.
2. I had a nice weekend. Tried a different grocery store which was a positive. Relaxed at home with the husband and the cats, watching episodes of Cobra Kai and Sherlock.

3.5/5⭐ This is the horror I've been waiting for. While it's gruesome, the descriptions don't seem (at least to me) to be there for the shock or horror porn value like many other horror books I've read, which I don't enjoy. The Sonja/Denise/The Other dynamic was confusing at times and I'm not sure it was ever settled, but overall I enjoyed this book and its perfect balance of dark horror vibe with characters and plot I could invest in. #projectnew
Humans insist on defining reality by their standards. They are poorly equipped to do so, since they are selectively deaf and blind in one eye. They are beings with an insatiable need to categorize the universe that surrounds them, but demand that the facts reveal a universe suited for human cultivation and exploitation. Things must remain status quo.

I read this book many years ago when I was younger and it was the very first vampire book I ever read. I have loved vampires ever since.
Wasn't sure about this one at first but after a couple of chapters, I couldn't put it down!
