Pickpick

This honestly one of the best comprehensive histories I've read. Dr Maxon is an expert in the African History field and my experience with this book was only enhanced by the fact that I got to be taught by Maxon for 2 semesters. He's brilliant and knows how to throw shade when making fun of the Europeans. Ive learned so much from him and his book. If anyone is interested in learning about East Africa history I rec this book.

mcausten_sister Fun facts about Maxon: he lived and taught in Kenya for several years. Including the reign of Idi Amin's dictatorship in Uganda and during Jomo Kenyatta's tenure. He also did not pick the cover of his book and doesn't understand why the publishers chose half a boys face. 8y
