She was the first woman to be paid for her scientific work and was known as the Hunter of Comets.

Caroline's Comets is a picture book biography. Caroline was raised limited to housekeeping roles, but she wanted to be self-sufficient, so she left her strict house to live with her brother. He taught Caroline to sing, and she joined his chorous to earn her own living. Caroline helped him build the best telescope in the world, and she became the first woman to discover a comet. #UCFWaltersLit
