pick(Wrong book, right author, but new books are never added to @Litsy ) I thought this would take me forever, being much more difficult than The Women of Lazarus, but once focus shifted to a new character I got a bit of a boost and managed to finish it. All in all, a great but quite weird story, but it doesn't stand a chance when put up against TWoL.
This book is so difficult I have absolutely no chance of finishing my July TBR. Oh well...
pickWow, this was fantastic! The story revolve around Lazar Lindt, a young Jewish refugee with a genius for science. But while Lazar is the centre it is the women in his life that are the heart of the story. I love the non-linear structure and the postmodern flourishes but it's the deft, psychologically complex character studies that make this something really special.
