Pickpick

"The Essential Guide to Mindful Dressing" by Jules Standish is a helpful style guide that talks mostly about colors that should or should not be worn by different color types. I like the breakdown she does of each color which includes: Benefits of Wearing, When Not to Wear, What Colors to Wear With, and others. The sections on how neutral tones bring balance to colors are helpful. A good "go to" for fresh ideas. I will purchase a hard copy.

I like the author's diplomacy in stat reporting. Said 1 in 4 instead of 25% for UK. ?? Don't be afraid to correct me if my math is wrong. I THINK 1 in 4 is the same as 25%. ? #currentread These things just jump out at me!
"Whilst weight issues are currently a problem for everyone, in the UK today it is estimated that one in four women are obese (with a BMI of over 30), and it‘s calculated that the figure is over 60% in America."

Riveted_Reader_Melissa Haha, but threw the Americans under the bus there. 8y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa But oddly for me, 1 in 4 sounds much worse than 25% in this context. 8y
Donna_sBookMinute ▶️ @Riveted_Reader_Melissa 😂😂😂 and you're right. It does sound worse. If I'm with three other people, . . . 😂😂😂😂 8y
Donna_sBookMinute But I do know I'm right that it should read, "one in four women IS obese ...". 8y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Donna_sBookMinute You absolutely are, it makes me think it was originally 25% are and then someone changed it to 1 in 4 later. 8y
