I know some Littens have been offended by posting tallies with POC, LGBTQ, etc. But I think we have to be purposeful or our default is often white male authors, as that is the still dominant group in America. They were all good books, but I want to be more purposeful in reading a variety of perspectives. This month was not great for that. Hoping for a better balance in October.

Riveted_Reader_Melissa Offended, really?.....I'm glad I missed that while I was off reading. I'm totally with you, the more you know the better, and that includes different points of view, from people in different walks of life. 7y
Ashley_Nicoletto Totally with you and @Riveted_Reader_Melissa. I purposefully read books from many different view points and I love seeing that others do this as well. I love seeing these stats! 7y
PandaPanda Lol I love the tagged book with this 🤣🤣🤣 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage Reading with diversity is the end to small-minded ignorance. Some months I hit more diverse authors than others. Keeping track reminds me to stay on track with this goal. 7y
