While I still wish that the English translations of Oishinbo were published in chronological order, having them as a ‘series‘ does make this an easy and informative way to learn about what sake is and isn‘t

It‘s pretty sad to find a library book in a bad condition - luckily the librarian could fix it! Can‘t take off the rubber bands and read this until tomorrow though 😝
🍶Excellent volume that examines history of sake, different varieties, & brewing methods.
🍶Does a great comparison of Western wines vs sake when it comes to pairings with Japanese cuisine; pros/cons.
🍶Provides fascinating look at sake industry in Japan, how it rose, then dropped, and how it‘s on the rise again.
🍶Entertaining, humorous, & delightfully insightful!
🍶Has got me craving warm sake!
🍶4.25/5

This week's reads :)
I didn't realize until I got home the other day from the book sale that the one I picked up was volume 4 in the series; when I went back yesterday, I picked up this, volume 2, which I'll start reading in a couple days once I finish the first one. I don't think there's too much sequence involved but just to be on the safe side… :-)
