I'm loving rediscovering the artistry of comics/graphic novels. It's helping me that Snyder includes a lot of text. I'm not sure if the gaps are things I've missed, things still to come, or flaws in the story. So I'll wait for the third book to make a final review of the series as a whole. In the meantime, I'm diggin' this👍🏻

Sweettartlaura @Texreader It's really beautiful. Like one 84-page watercolor. And yet, the style of the writing, the pacing of it, reminds me of this show that used to be MTV, really late on Sundays, I think, called The Maxx. It was animated, and very dark, and sparse, and not fully explained. But I liked it😊. And I still look for it. 8y

Texreader It sounds good but the gaps would likely annoy me. I'd like to check it out but not sure. Is the next one out? 8y

Sweettartlaura @tpixie No, not that one. It was a little girl (maybe a teen?) with a monster for a best friend/protector, called the Maxx. Did you ever get the feeling you're the only person who watched something? 😂 8y
