Is sci-fi horror a thing? Cause that‘s what this is. It‘s short and there is a good bit of outdated science talk. But the main gist is: a family is jaunting (teleporting) to the moon, and the dad explains the history of jaunting while they wait for the big moment. The end is shocking and a little terrifying.

I enjoyed it. My husband absolutely loves this one. He‘s been telling me about it since I picked up my first King story. #readingStephenKing

It‘s sad but it‘s fitting. The whole first part of the story was about how the human species was holding on to time (via necessities) as much as they could. The symbolism of a child experiencing all time ends the innocence associated with a child and makes time more foreboding and end-all. Makes you feel small while appreciating the â€œbig.â€ 8/10

Reggie The Scarlet Ibis. I remember our teacher having us read it in 9th grade and when we were finished we were not the same class we were before that story. I think about it‘s symbolism of things that aren‘t supposed to be and yet are. Anyways, it‘s a great story. 7y
