"As I became a creature of the empty tunnels, survival became easier and more difficult all at once. I gained in the physical skills and experience necessary to live on. I could defeat almost anything that wandered into my chosen domain. It did not take me long, however, to discover one nemesis that I could neither defeat nor flee. It followed me wherever I went indeed, the farther I ran, the more it closed in around me. My enemy was solitude, the interminable, incessant silence of hushed corridors." Drizzt Do Urden"

Book Two 👏
Let‘s do this!

Spirit. It cannot be broken and it cannot be stolen away. A victim in the throes of despair might feel otherwise, and certainly the victim‘s “master” would like to believe it so. But in truth, the spirit remains, sometimes buried but never fully removed.

At some point I have to catch up on his works, not to mention buy the new editions and his new works.

Drizzt learns the difference between surviving and living thanks to a few good friends. More importantly, this book sets up new adventures in new places, and I am really looking forward to this fish out of water.

Lunch out with the husband... reading together is the best! Conversation before we left the house:
Me: So what are you going to read next?
Husband: I think I might start the next Forgotten Realms book... which shelf are they on?
Me: The next one is on the stairs... I pulled it off the shelf for you this morning.
Husband: You are the BEST EVER! 😍📚💜

Following "Homeland", Drizzt is on his own struggling in the dangerous underdark with only one person to rely on, himself.

🐳 I don't give a lot of whales however this book deserves it. So far the best of the series. The character of Clacker is tragic and beautiful. We learn depth to Drizzt and will miss the most honored barrow-warden. This book has some great action and a few tearful moments. A satisfying ending.

I have fallen into a D&D Forgotten Realms hole. Any suggestions for wood elf novels? I need to know where to go from here. Warhammer maybe?
