Sheryl taught me to be myself, while at the same time being someone else.
Newest audio book, love his music.
45-2019 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ MJK is a member of my favourite band Tool so this was a must read. Any music fan will enjoy.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ This biography of the typically private Maynard felt like only part of the story. It‘s as if everything he touches turns gold and he makes zero mistakes. I want the bad with the good. I want to relate. Part of the lacking connection is the writing style. Author Sarah Jensen is a long-time friend of MJK, which is kind of neat, but she tried to be too literary at times and it fell flat. 👇🏻

Maynard, on the humor elements in Tool‘s music:
“Satire helps push through heartfelt emotions in serious issues. That‘s how you punch the big ideas through.”
👉🏻 I‘m reading this because my older brother is a huge Maynard/Tool/A Perfect Circle/Puscifer fan, but he‘s not a reader and I want to one-up him. 😆 In all seriousness though, my brother is going through a tough time and it‘s nice to have something random to discuss.
Trying my hand at a new hobby of whittling and hoping to get started on learning about the enigma that is Maynard James Keenan. Tool - A Perfect Circle - Puscifer all have played a huge role in my musical upbringing and evolution. He is my one of my idols.
