This book I adore, still waiting to forget enough to read again, this book clicked with me.
This book I adore, still waiting to forget enough to read again, this book clicked with me.
This reminds me of Holden Caulfield: “Don't ever tell anybody anything. If you do, you start missing everybody.”
Brilliant read. Rhodes writes with alarming honesty (trigger warnings where appropriate) but what shines through this darkness is an unquestionable, all consuming love for music. The book is accompanied with a playlist that I have not been able to listen to get as the passion with which Rhodes describes would have me distracted from the text but I look forward to that. This a powerful, moving memoir that I absolutely recommend.
Just started this recommendation from a friend and it's pulling some serious punches, very interested to see where this goes
