Another enjoyable British Crime Classics mystery. Quite enjoyed the inspector in this one although I think he suspected every single person possibly involved in the crime until circling back around to the first suspect to get his man...

This was a satisfyingly boaty story, and Inspector French is a (surprisingly?) likeable detective. I'm definitely going to read more of his cases!
French isn't a flashy, standout detective -- this is almost a procedural, really. It works pretty well; can't say I'm desperate to read more about French, but it's a decently put together mystery.
I'm surprisingly into this -- I expected something much flatter from what I'd heard about the author. He has a great sympathy with the victims of financial disaster, and I'm rather fond of one of the characters: hope to goodness he hasn't done it, because he seems decent.
Another great #LibraryFind. I love the vintage illustrations on theses reissues of #GoldenAge #mysteries. This one is about an abandoned yacht that is found in the English Channel. The narration is more removed than I'm used to and I don't feel a particular sense of rooting for the detective to solve the crime but the mystery is interesting.
Love the chapter title of this ##GoldenAge #mystery! #DetailsMatterInMysteries #clues #historicalmystery #cozymystery
Books adjacent to a Christmas tree is the best you're going to get from me for this #seasonsreadings2016 prompt. Here is my book haul: small and mighty. All of the books were on my list, as was the Twelfth Doctor with Guitar Funko Pop. ?
And yes that is a pin of Snape that says "Always" ?
